07.2013 Another great delegation of students from Fremont Middle School traveled to Japan to visit Kyoto and Yahaba.  While it rained a lot in Kyoto, they were able to visit a lot of hisotrical landmarks including temples and palaces.  There stay in Yahaba was enjoyable, and visits to both of Yahaba's Junior High Schools proved a great expereince for all.  While it was a short two weeks for the students, it will be a life-long remembered expereince.  Be sure to check out the Facebook page for updates including more photos and posts about their visit.

 

04.08.2013 First parent and student orientation meeting. We are proud of the 2013 Fremont Delegation members preparing to travel to Yahaba, Japan this summer. Teachers: Ms. Tressa Wenk and Ms. Claire Iwema Students: Sierra Baird, Matt Yager, Alena Christensen, Cole Hamilton, Rachel Ward, Sam Kaastra, Mikahla Kempf, and Rebecca Welsh.​​ (Pictures on the right).



06.20.12  Delegation of Fremont Students arrive in Japan to visit Kyoto and Yahaba.

11.01.10  The 19th Delegation from Kozukata Senior High School and both of Yahaba's Junior High Schools visited Fremont.  After a trip to Washington, D.C. the students spent a week in Fremont Public Schools giving culture presentations and attending classes.



07.25.10  The 15th Anniversary of the Friendship City signing is celebrated with a large young adult community delegation from Yahaba participating in the Baby Food Festival.



​2010  Joined the Consulate General of Japan's Sister City Exchange in Michigan and Ohio information organization and information exchange.



03.27.09  Sending third high school student (John Carlson) from Fremont for extended stay of 5 months to Yahaba.  John will be attending Kozukata Senior High school in Yahaba and studying Japanese.

11.2014 The Fremont-Yahaba Friendship City Program hosted another successful delegation of Japanese students from Yahaba, Japan in the Fremont community.  Following a sightseeing trip to Washington, DC, the Japanese students visited Fremont, sharing cultural presentations at both the High School and Middle School.  In addition, the visiting students toured Fremont and met with the mayor as well as local fireman and police officers. 11.2015 The Fremont-Yahaba Friendship City Program hosted antoher delgation of students from Yahaba, Japan.  Students toured the city, visiting City Hall, the Arts Place, and much more. The highlight of their visit were visits to both Fremont Middle School and Daisy Brook Elementary, where the visitng students shared Japanese culture.
